The main idea is to donate R100, R50, R10, R5 or whatever you have to an MND charity in order to be dumped with a bucket of ice. The ice bucket challenge hit South Africa in such a way that lot of people started taking part on it, including celebrities like Katlego Maboe expresso morning show presenter, john maytham of 567 cape talk and SA model Candice Swanepoel to name only few. The campaign isn't over and it wont end until they find the cure, people still donate and participate and we still hoping to raise more awareness on the campaign.

The campaign went viral and exposed to millions of people who wanted to get a view and engage on the topic, it was and still is the biggest success across all social platforms, especially on Twitter that was mostly used, it was trending in such a way that it increases social engagement. People took part in a campaign by posting videos of themselves having buckets of ice dumped on their head, they took a social action by liking the videos,tag, comment and share their videos across other social networks like Facebook, YouTube, or Instagram etc i personally think if you do the ice bucket challenge you are charitable,it means you do feel for people who are in need and that is what people should do, we need to help one another.

The money that was donated and the participants made a huge different especially to those who are affected by the disease. Since well now the campaign is a meme on social media, no longer that viral, we edge and plead people to keep on donating whatever they have and keep posting videos reminding those who stopped participating that the campaign is still on, and for those who haven't yet made a connection between ALS vidoes and MND need to start connecting and donate. This campaign need you,it need your to support, lets keep on raising funds and awareness. Remember...we are here for all of us, we need to share, we need to help one another in order to make this world a better place.
